The cost of workshops are as listed:

7-10 year olds: $195

For middle and high school workshops: $245

For adults (or oldies): $350

Payment is due in full at the time of registration.

The workshop for adults will consist of 6 lessons, 4 for the workshops for kids and teens on subject of photography. The lessons will be distributed via email approximately every 7 days.

The workshop will utilize a forum in which the participants and instructors can post photographs and write messages to each other. Participants are expected to conduct themselves respectfully and professionally- that is, they are expected to be respectful of each others work and writings, to refrain from stealing or copying others work, and to photograph only tasteful and legal subjects.

503 Photography and the instructors reserve the right to remove any postings which in their sole discretion violate these rules or other reasonable standards of conduct.

Severe or repeated violations of the rules of decorum may result in removal from the workshop, without a refund.

While we encourage the workshop participants to share their work with their family and friends, and for family and friends to be involved in their work, each lesson is intended only for the workshop participant; a registered person may not share a lesson and multiple people may not participate in the workshop under one purchase.

No refunds will be issued after the first lesson has been emailed. If a student must withdraw from a workshop prior to the first lesson being emailed out, the cost of the workshop will be refunded, less a $50 withdrawal fee.

By registering for the workshop and paying the registration fee, you acknowledge that you have read and consent to these terms of use, the general 503photography.com privacy policy, and (if applicable) the 503photography.com kids privacy policy.

{please note, 503 Workshops for kids is not being offered right now.}

Why does 503photography.com have a kid's privacy policy?

503 Photography is committed to protecting the privacy of its visitors and customers, including kids. As a result, we require kids to have parental consent to participate in any workshops, and parents are required to provide the identifying information about their kids. We will not knowingly collect any identifying information from kids without parental consent; kids are not permitted to sign up on their own.

The Child Online Privacy Protection Act requires us to notify parents and kids about the ways we collect and use information from or about kids who use the site.

Throughout the kids privacy policy, the term kid or child refers to an individual under the age of 13, the term parent includes a legal guardian, and we or us refers to 503 Photography and 503photography.com.

What types of information do we collect from or about kids under 13?

Kids can visit our web site and browse our galleries anonymously, without any personally identifying information being collected.

We do collect personally identifying information about kids when a parent registers them for a workshop. When registering, we collect: the kids name, parents name, e-mail address, and mailing address, as well as billing information from the parent. This information must be provided by a parent; kids, please ask a parent to register you.

We will obtain parental consent before collecting any additional information from kids. We will communicate with the parents by e-mail to obtain this consent, if necessary.

We may also collect personally identifying information from kids if they submit a comment or question through the "Send Us a Note" page on our web site. If this happens, we will utilize that information to respond to their question or comment, if necessary, and then will delete the information.

Our workshops also utilize a secure and private forum on which kids may post photographs and messages. We use cookies to collect and remember login information and browsing preferences in these forums.

How do we use information gathered from or about kids?

We use information collected from parents and to send a welcome card, correspond with kids and parents about the workshop in which the kids are participating, and to send the weekly lessons.

Some of the information collected may also be used by the kids to communicate with us and other kids in the workshops through the age-specific forum they will register under.

Because the kids are participating in photography workshops, they or we will occasionally post photos in a private forum visible only to 503 Photography and other workshop participants, and those photos will include limited identifying information about the kid-photographer. These photos and the accompanying information will never be displayed outside the forum without prior parental consent. In order to access the forums, the kids will be required to log in with a secure username and password, which will be provided upon registration. We use cookies to remember this information so the kid remains logged in to the forum.

However, non-personally identifiable visitor information may be provided to or collected by other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses. For example, we use Google Analytics to collect and analyze demographic information and similar information about our visitors.

What other rights do parents have?

A parent always has the option to agree to collection of information from a kid and 503 Photography's use of that information without disclosure to third parties. 503 Photography will never require a child to disclose more information than is reasonably necessary to participate in an activity as a condition of participation.
