Don't just take my word for it ...
I debated on whether or not to write this post, but I just have to clear my soul. This class has challenged me in so many ways and taught the basics that will forever change my photography for the better.
I thought I was all done when I printed and read lesson 6. Wow. Just wow!! Your words moved me to tears. Seriously. The big ugly, I-hope-no-one-is-looking cry. In hindsight, guess I was crying, not only because this class is almost over, but because this is truly the beginning for me. I'm constantly doubting myself and my abilities. The next step scares me, but your words encourage me to move forward.
You wrote,"I don't want to get to a point in life, where I look back and feel like I robbed my best years of being an artist because of my own insecurities" God bless you because you put into words my greatest fears. I don't want to look back and have regret. You spoke to a part of my soul that I thought I silenced a long time ago.
This class and your words have inspired me to constantly improve and to one day become the one thing I've dreamed of........an amazing photographer. An artist. A better version of me.
So thank you so much for sharing your words, your art, and your wisdom. I will be forever changed for the better. Thank you.

I was so glad that this workshop was offerred online because it gave me the chance to read over the lessons as many times as I wanted and I could go at my own pace!
Jessica, you are such an amazing teacher. You explained everything to the T. If ever I had questions or needed critiquing on my photos it was nice to know that you were just an email away. You always gave your honest opinion to help make me a better photographer.
I can also tell that you really care how my pictures turn out and how I'm doing in the workshop by the amount of time you put into each lesson. I am walking away from this workshop proud of the photos I have taken since week one and could not be more grateful for your willingness to share everything that you have learned yourself. You are brilliant!!!

I am so glad I took your workshop! You can read books all day long, but still not quite get it without feedback. The homework was on target for each lesson. It forced me to use the things I would have otherwise just read about and put aside, only to later forget. Thank you for sharing your love of photography with me and, also, all the knowledge you have gained along the way!

This workshop has been far more than I expected. I already knew you were brilliant at what you do, but I wondered how much I could learn online without having that 'hands on' experience. In just six weeks, I have learned everything from the most basic principles of photography and my camera to the most unique, artistic concepts that will enable me to become the professional photographer I hope to one day become.
Jessica, you have a true gift for teaching. Thanks for spending time answering countless questions (and I had a TON), encouraging me, all the while being a tough (necessary) critic of my photos. I'm a better photographer for having taken this workshop.

This workshop has been a blast! When I started the lessons, I was at a place where I had at least heard of a number of subjects that you covered but the pieces never seemed to fit together. For me, this course has pushed me a number of steps closer to the finished puzzle.
Thank you, Jessica, for not only taking great pictures, but for also painting a great picture with your words. The descriptions in your lessons always left plenty of room for creative freedom during my homework but they never left me questioning what you meant.
My favorite part was the feedback you gave me on my homework. It was always so well crafted that even though she was pushing me to become better, it felt more like encouragement than critique.
Thanks for everything.

I am so thankful for this workshop! Recently, I had reached the limitations of the auto features on my camera but was too intimidated to shoot manually. This workshop has ignited more passion and exploration in my photography. It has expanded my interest in portrait creativity.
Each lesson was insightful and I could read it (and practice it) again and again at my pace throughout the week. The feedback on my assignments (helpful critiquing and affirmation) and shared responses from others questions was very enlightening. This class makes it so easy to be motivated and inspired yet is challenging and encouraging. I will continue to review the lessons and apply the techniques and tips into the future. I am over the hurdle and will be spinning the dial to manual, aperture priority or shutter priority along with ability to post-process and play further.
